Check Out This Designer's Roots

Gregory Spala Designs didn't start with business cards or branding kits - it started with a passion for creativity, an eye for the details others often miss, and a belief that every story deserves to be told through thoughtful design.
I'm Greg, the artist behind Gregory Spala Designs (or GSD, if you know the hidden trail). Nestled in the mountains of Western North Carolina, I create original artwork, branding, decals, apparel, signs, and gifts inspired by Appalachian life, the outdoors, and the little adventures that make life memorable.
When I was 13, I learned I had experienced a prenatal stroke before I was born, leaving a small hole in my brain and a lifelong battle with epilepsy. Doctors expected limitations in my speech and mobility - but with determination, faith, and the unwavering support of my family, those predictions never defined me. Instead, they shaped the resilience and perspective I bring to every design, every challenge, and every opportunity to serve others.
Today, I balance a full-time career while proudly running Gregory Spala Designs. Every project is created with honesty, purpose, and the belief that great design should feel authentic, timeless, and built to last.
Above all else, I'm a family man. My incredible wife, Elita, and our amazing son, Drew, are the heart behind everything I do. They inspire me to keep creating, keep growing, and keep building a business rooted in kindness, integrity, and community.
Whether you're here for a sticker, a shirt, a sign, or simply exploring the trail, I hope you find something that makes you smile - and maybe even spot a hidden Bigfoot along the way.
Welcome to the trail. I'm glad our paths crossed.
